Updating Your System to VideoOS 4.0.0
This document provides instructions for updating your G7500 or Studio X system to VideoOS 4.0.0 using an update server URL. By using the Poly VideoOS 4.0.0 update server URL to update your G7500 or Studio X system, you agree to the Poly End User License Agreement.

Before updating your system to VideoOS 4.0.0 review the Poly VideoOS 4.0.0 Release Notes.

Important Update Information for VideoOS 4.0.0
Because this is a major Android platform update, note the following important information when updating to VideoOS 4.0.0:

Poly Workflow Suite (formerly Workflow Server) Is Not Supported Currently

VideoOS 4.0.0 is not supported in environments running Poly Workflow Suite (formerly Workflow Server).

Downgrading to Previous VideoOS Versions Is Not Supported
Once you update your system to VideoOS 4.0.0, you cannot downgrade.

Update and downgrade restrictions do not apply to peripherals.

Your System Must Be Running VideoOS 3.14.1 or Later Before Updating to VideoOS 4.0.0.
● Upgrading from earlier versions to 4.0.0 is not supported.
● Upgrading to 4.0.0 without first upgrading to 3.14.1 or 3.14.2 is an untested upgrade path that may result in your system not functioning correctly.

Upgrading a Studio X70 or a System with a Connected Studio E70
After updating to VideoOS 4.0.0, you may need to power cycle your Studio X70 or Studio E70 if the camera isn’t working correctly.

Platform Update to Android 10
With this release, your system updates from Android 8.1 to Android 10.0.

Poly recommends an extra system restart after updating to VideoOS 4.0.0.

Factory Restore Partition Update to 4.0.0
This release updates the system’s factory restore partition to 4.0.0.

Update Your System Using the Poly VideoOS 4.0.0

Update Server URL
Important: By using the Poly VideoOS 4.0.0 update server URL to update your G7500 or Studio X system,
you agree to the Poly End User License Agreement.

Before updating your system to VideoOS 4.0.0 review the Poly VideoOS 4.0.0 Release Notes.

1. Enter the system IP address into a web browser and log in to the system web interface.
2. Go to General Settings > Device Management.
3. In the Download Update From: drop-down box, select Custom Server URL.
4. In the Update Server Address: field, enter:
https://swupdate.lens.poly.com/polyos/4.0.0/latest
5. Select Update All.
6. After the system completes the update, go to Diagnostics > System Reset and select Restart.
